The Digital Window Thermometer is an extremely popular choice for anybody wanting an external thermometer reading without the flaff of owning and maintaining a full base station and remote wireless sensor.
Indeed, rather than take up space inside your house, this clever beggar sticks to the outside of your window – you look through the window to see what the temperature is. Nice.
General advice here would be that you ignore the instructions about sticking the holder section to the glass of your window and instead use the frame itself – this tends to hold the stuck on holder longer, through the travails of a UK winter. If the glue does lose its mojo, you can just use Sticky Fixers to remount it.
As you can see from the picture, the thermometer display is transparent – this is cool to look at until it gets dark outside – you cannot see the numbers unless there is a light source behind it.
Or you can do what others do and stick it on the inside of your window, but we feel that is kind of missing the point.
But what are you expecting for under fifteen quid?
As a fun thermometer that gives a more meaningful external rather than internal temperature, we like it.
It’s not a full weather station, but we rather like that it picks one task and writes it large: how warm is it now and how cold and warm has it been?
The Digital Window Thermometer is a fun gift and you can safely give it to someone who doesn’t read instructions.
